Lebanon Valley junior Lindsey McCurdy was selected as the Softball MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week on Tuesday in a release by the Middle Atlantic Conference office.
McCurdy was a tough out for the Mustangs with five hits in seven at-bats during a doubleheader sweep of Stevenson on Friday. The junior hit two doubles and a triple and knocked in four runs while scoring two. She gave the Dutchmen the lead in the first inning of a 4-2 game one victory with a double to right field. She then doubled to right center in the fifth to make it 4-2. McCurdy finished the game with two RBI doubles in three at-bats. She continued the hot streak in game two with three hits, two RBI, and two runs scored in an 8-0 six inning win. McCurdy knocked in two runs with a triple to right field in the fifth to make it 4-0. She also stole a base in the game.
It is the second career weekly honor for McCurdy and first since March 2021. She earns LVC's second consecutive softball weekly honor after Kylie Balthaser was named the Player of the Week last week.
The Dutchmen are back on the field this afternoon when they host Elizabethtown College for a pair of games starting at 3 p.m.
