Lebanon Valley College announces Dutchmen Baseball Trio Named to Preseason Watch List

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Three members of the Lebanon Valley baseball squad were included on the Top Division III Players To Watch List released by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper in the first issue of 2023. In addition, the Dutchmen were receiving votes in the Preseason Poll.
 
Nico Santoro, Jace Fetterman, and Shane Stossel were all identified as Players to Watch in Division III. Santoro is a senior shortstop who broke the program record with 70 hits last spring and finished with a .374 average while earning ABCA/Rawlings All-Region and All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honors.
 
Fetterman is a sophomore who had a great rookie season as a designated hitter with a team-leading .384 average and eight home runs. He was named to the D3.baseball.com All-Region Team, the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team and was an All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team selection.
 
Stossel is a dual threat on the mound and at the plate after a huge sophomore season that saw him named to two All-Region teams and a First Team selection as a pitcher and as a utility player on the All-MAC Commonwealth Team. On the mound he was 5-0 with a 1.47 ERA in 36.2 innings spanning seven starts. At the plate, he hit .304 with seven home runs and 37 RBI.
 
The Dutchmen are coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history winning a program record 30 games, the program's second conference title, and breaking many program records in the process. They were the 11th team listed in the also receiving votes of the Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll which ranks 40 teams.
