Lebanon Valley College announces Baseball Places Four on 2023 Academic All-District® Team

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley baseball team had four student-athletes named to the Academic All-District® Baseball Team as announced this week by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in a release by the professional organization.
The Academic All-District® Baseball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 7.
The four Dutchmen honorees are Jace Fetterman, Andrew Miles, Jeremy Tuz, and Blair Shaffer.
Fetterman is a sophomore business administration major from Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He has been named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team twice as a catcher. This season he has played in 42 games and is batting .275 with seven doubles and five home runs out of his 33 hits. The sophomore has been walked 41 times, scored 37 runs, and knocked in 19.
Miles is a senior exercise science major from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. He has been named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Team in each of the past two years including a second team selection this year at third base. Miles has played in 36 games and has a .311 batting average this season with 38 hits including 11 doubles and two home runs. He has scored 34 times and knocked in 27 runs.
Tuz is a sophomore biology major from Chalfont, Pennsylvania. He has thrown 17.2 innings this season in 14 appearances out of the bullpen. The sophomore is 2-0 with a 3.06 earned-run average and 14 strikeouts.
Shaffer is a junior biochemistry and molecular biology major from Lititz, Pennsylvania. He has pitched in six games this season with 11.1 innings out of the bullpen. Shaffer has a 0-2 record with a 14.29 earned-run average and four strikeouts.
