Softball redshirt-sophomore third baseman Frankie Larobardiere (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse/Onondaga) has been named the Le Moyne College Athlete of the Week, due to her play during Le Moyne's 6-2 week at the Spring Games in Florida.

During Le Moyne's final eight games of their spring break trip, Larobardiere went 10-18 at the plate with five walks, five runs scored, four RBI and two home runs.

Larobardiere went 2-2 at the plate and scored a go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning during Le Moyne's 5-4 loss to ninth-ranked University of Indianapolis on Tuesday, then tallied an RBI on a sacrifice fly during the second half of the doubleheader, a 6-4 win over University of Mary.

She went 2-2 at the plate with a walk during a 5-0 win over east-region foe Saint Thomas Aquinas, then drew a walk during a setback against Shepherd.

Larobardiere provided a base hit and a two-run home run during a 7-5 win over Wayne State and reached base three times against Purdue Northwest with a single and two walks as the 'Phins claimed a doubleheader sweep.

On the team's final day in Florida on Saturday, the Dolphins struggled to get going on offense against the Hillsdale College Chargers. Le Moyne trailed 1-0 in the bottom of the seventh when Larobardiere stepped to the plate with two outs and nobody on base.

The redshirt-sophomore third baseman fell behind in a two-strike count, then blasted a home run to tie the game at 1-1 and send it to extra innings.
After Le Moyne beat the Chargers in the eighth, Larobardiere went 2-4 at the plate with a run scored during Le Moyne's 5-1 win over Salem University.
The Le Moyne College softball team will return to action on Tuesday with a doubleheader at D'Youville University before beginning conference play on Saturday against Bentley.
