Le Moyne College announces Baseball's Brody Keneston named ne10 rookie of the week

Mansfield, Mass. – Freshman catcher/third baseman Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week  per the NE10's Week 1 Baseball Report.

During Le Moyne's opening weekend at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, Keneston started all four games and went 6-13 at the plate with seven runs batted in, three runs scored, three walks, a double, a home run and 10 total bases.

Keneston recorded a .462 batting average, a .500 on-base percentage and a .769 slugging percentage in the first four games of his collegiate career.

Keneston, who wears no. 22 for the 'Phins, started at third base and went 3-4 at the plate with four RBIs during Le Moyne's 10-6 win over Mercy on Saturday. The rookie mashed Le Moyne's first home run of the year, a towering solo shot over the left field wall in the third inning of Saturday's win over the Mavericks.

Next up, the Le Moyne baseball team will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for four games at the Ripken Experience this weekend.
