Lane College announces Dragons split with Kentucky State

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Lane College baseball game split a doubleheader with conference rival Kentucky State on Saturday.
After falling 6-4 in game one, the Dragons' offense exploded for 12 runs in game two while the Lane pitching staff held the Thorobreds to four runs.
Zach Baker led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Walt Thompson was also 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored.
Whit Sexton, Danny Zabaleta, and Zion LaGrone each had two hits. Zabaleta also had two RBI on a home run in the 6th inning.
Nate Flores got the win in relief, going 3.1 and allowing just one earned run. Starter T'Shaun Bridgeforth tossed 3.2 innings and allowed two earned runs.
