Lane College announces Baseball takes three from LeMoyne-Owen

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Lane College baseball team finished off a three game sweep of LeMoyne-Owen on Monday, moving their conference record to 10-7 and placing them in fifth place in the conference standings.

Zach Baker led the way at the plate, going 5-for-9 in the series with three RBI, three runs scored, and two doubles. 

Heath Stuckey picked up two saves in the series, closing out the first two games and allowing no earned runs.

Julian Ortiz got the win in game one after going 7.0 innings and allowing no earned runs while striking out four batters.

Javier Gallo was dominate out of the bullpen in game three, throwing 3.1 scoreless innings and striking out six.

The Dragons will play at home on Wednesday when they host Christian Brothers at the Ballpark at Jackson. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
