Lane College announces Baseball picks up another sweep

JACKSON, Tenn. - Another Lane sweep pulls the baseball team to .500 on the season in conference play.

The Dragons hosted Morehouse College this weekend in a three-game series at Liberty Tech.

JD Klug and Heath Stuckey combined for 10 strikeouts in game one as Klug picked up the win and Stuckey recorded the save in a 7-5 victory.

Julian Ortiz and Ben Cardella each went the distance in games two and three respectively, earning complete game wins for Lane.

Noah Essary led the way at the plate, going 3-for-6 with four RBI and a home run while Zion LaGrone went 4-for-9 and drove in five runs.

Lane is on the road this week, traveling to Georgia for a midweek game with Young Harris on Wednesday before facing off against Clark Atlanta in a three game series begging on Thursday.
