Lancaster Bible College announces Lieb & Hamilton Named to NFCA All-Region Third Team

The Lancaster Bible College Softball program received two more awards on Friday afternoon, as graduate student Hannah Lieb and junior Alyssa Hamilton were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Third Team.

Both Lieb and Hamilton had spectacular seasons for the Chargers and are first-time honorees of the NFCA. Lieb and Hamilton are the first Lancaster Bible softball players to earn all-region honors from the NFCA since Julia D'Arrigo earned second team honors after the 2016 season.

Lieb was one of two players on this year's team to hit over .400, as she hit .406 and had 39 hits. She scored 22 runs and seven of her 39 hits were for extra bases. Lieb also stole seven bases and had the team's second-best on-base percentage at .447. 

Hamilton was a key player for the 2023 Chargers both in the box and as a pitcher. Hamilton had 41 hits, including a team-high 13 doubles. She drove in 15 runs and scored 28 more. Hamilton drew a team-high 18 walks and posted a .423 on-base percentage. Hamilton also started 18 games for the Chargers and posted a 6-11 record. She had a 3.79 earned run average and struck out 42 batters. 

Lancaster Bible finished the 2023 season with a 10-26 record.
