DE PERE, Wis. – Travis Eitel (Jr.-Pine Island, Minn.) finished second in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a school-record time for Lakeland University on the second and final day of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships at Schneider Stadium.

Eitel finished the finals in 57.95 seconds, coming across second behind only winner Collin Hook of Milwaukee School of Engineering. Eitel improved two spots from his finish in the event a year ago and earned his first-ever medaling finish at the championship.

Lakeland nearly had another podium finish in the men's long jump, where Muse Abdi (So.-Mankato, Minn.) finished fourth. Abdi battled through a back injury to post a best mark of 6.57 meters (21 feet, 6 3/4 inches).

The Muskies men's team also scored points in the 4 x 100 relay. Abdi, Chris Crawford (Jr.-Chicago, Ill.), Parker Giese (Fr.-West Bend, Wis.) and Isaiah Malone (Fr.-Compton, Calif.) finished in 46.70 seconds to place seventh.

Eduardo Campuzano (Fr.-Hinckley, Ill.) also ran a big personal best in the men's 1,500-meter run. Campuzano finished in 4:36.42, coming in 16th after being seeded 20th and cutting over seven seconds off his previous best.

The Lakeland women's team wrapped up most of its competition on Friday. Sahara Gardner (Jr.-Kewaunee, Wis.) and Chloe Cunningham (Sr.-Oviedo, Fla.) both competed in the javelin, including Gardner finishing 17th with a mark of 22.15m (72-8).
