Howie Rankine Jr. Chosen NABC All-District
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 16, 2023) – Howie Rankine Jr. was chosen to the 2022-23 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division III All-District Team, earning Second Team honors for Region 5. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division III.
Rankine was one of three River Hawks to start all 26 games and led the Landmark playing 34.5 minutes per game. He led the team and ranked sixth in the conference with 17.1 ppg. and second with 6.2 rpg that ranked eighth in the league. He had a career-high 33 points against Lebanon Valley on Nov. 18 along with ten 20-point games. The 6'0 guard reached two double-doubles on the year against Goucher on Jan. 25 (20 pts., 10 reb.) and Scranton on Feb. 1 (21 pts., 10 reb.).
His accolades this season included Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Landmark. Academically he was named CSC Academic All-District.
