Howard University announces Women's Golf Sits Seventh at the Tulane Classic

NEW ORLEANS (February 12, 2023) – Howard University women's golf team sits tied for seventh at the Tulane Classic, presented by Chad Brownstein.
 
Overall, HU shot 25-over par (313) after the first round.
 
Graduate Kyra Cox (South Salem, N.Y.) and sophomore Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) lead the way, tied for 19th overall. Both Bison shot 5-over on Day One.
 
Newcomer Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) is one stroke behind (78, +6) and tied for 32nd.
 
After the first round, Purdue leads the back (299, +11), followed by UTEP (306, +18).
 
Individually, Purdue's Ashley Kozlowski leads the field by one stroke.
 
The tournament continues Monday (Feb. 13) with a 10 a.m. (ET)/9 a.m. (CT) shotgun time.
