Houston Christian University announces TRK: Artisst Picks Up SLC Athlete of the Week Honor

HCU senior Justice Artisst has been named the Southland Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week following a record-setting performance in the 3,000 meters at the Houston Invitational last Friday.
 
Artisst placed fourth overall in the 3000m with a time of 8:20.58 to break an 11-year-old program record in the event for the Huskies. That mark is the best in the SLC this season and the 24th-best mark in the NCAA South Central Region.
 
Artisst and the Huskies will be back on the track as a team on Friday, Feb. 10, at the University of Houston Howie Ryan Invitational at the Yeoman Fieldhouse.
