Houston Christian University announces T&F: Nkeonye Earns SLC Athlete of the Week Selection

The HCU sophomore owns the top mark in the conference in the long jump

HCU Sophomore Destiny Nkeonye has been selected the Southland Conference men's outdoor field athlete of the week after a PR jump at the Victor Lopez Classic this past weekend.
 
Nkeonye won the long jump on Saturday, Mar. 25, at the Rice Victor Lopez Classic with a PR mark of 7.42m/24-4.25. The sophomore's mark is the best in the conference so far this season and ranks him 12th in the NCAA west region and 32nd among all NCAA Division I competitors.
 
Nkeonye will be competing at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational this coming weekend.
