Houghton University announces Men's and Women's Track & Field Both Finish 4th at the Empire 8 Championships

The track & field teams wrapped up a fantastic weekend at the Empire 8 Championships with two fourth place finishes. Amanda Burrichter was named as the women's track athlete of the meet for the second year in a row. Malachi Yeager capped off a successful weekend with a school record, regional birth, and Empire 8 championship in the Heptathlon. All in all, the Highlanders produced 19 personal best performances on the weekend.

Rachel Domaracki – 3rd – 3,000m
Caleb Kasper – 3rd – 3,000m
Women's 4 x 400m Relay – 3rd
Men's 4 x 400m Relay – 4th
Kyra Binney – 5th – 800m
J.J. Eustace – 6th – 800m
Ali Wisniewski – 6th – 60HH
"We did exactly what we came here to do," said Coach Hager after the meet, "there's not a lot more to be said. We enjoy the results now, rest for a couple days, then get back at it for outdoor. There's more work to be done."
The Highlanders will be back in action on March 3rd and 4th for the All-Atlantic Regional Championships at The Armory in New York City.
