Hope College announces Two Men's Track Runners Earn All-Region Distinction

Two runners for the Hope College men's outdoor track and field team have claimed All-Great Lakes Region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2023 season: senior Nathan Woolum and junior Eli Meder.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned all-region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
Woolum (Mattawan, Michigan / Michigan) is an all-region recipient in the 400-meter hurdles.
The business major clocked a qualifying time of 53.71 seconds at Davenport University on April 28.
This is Woolum's first all-region honor of the season.
Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic) is an all-region honoree in the 800 meters.
The business and economics major recorded a qualifying time of 1:51.01 at Augustana College (Ill.) on May 18.
This is Meder's second all-region award of the season in the 800 meters.
Meder also received the distinction during the indoor season.
