Hope College announces Senior Jackson Player Wins 60-Meter Hurdles at Aquinas

Hurdler Jackson Player clocked a winning 60-meter time to lead a split-squad Hope College men's indoor track and field team on Friday at Aquinas College.
The senior from San Antonio, Texas (Winston Churchill HS) recorded a run of 8.46 seconds that was 0.07 within his school record.
The 10-team meet featured student-athletes from four Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association schools and six from Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference schools. Hope finished seventh with 28 points.
The Flying Dutchmen scored in four more events.
In the 3,000 meters, sophomore Ryan Allspach (Glen Ellyn, Illinois / Glenbard South) recorded a third-place time of 9:12.44.
In the pole vault, senior Zach Elmore (Cadillac, Michigan / Cadillac) posted a third-place effort by clearing 4.05 meters (13 feet, 3 ½ inches).
In the 60-meter run, freshman Liam Danitz (West Branch, Michigan / Ogemaw Heights) sprinted to a fourth-place run of 8.10 seconds.
In the 4x400 relay, the Flying Dutchmen took eighth with freshman Luke Skuratowicz (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Central), freshman Kevin Miller (Farmington Hills, Michigan / Farmington Hills), freshman Nile Devers (Gobles, Michigan / Gobles) going 4:00.92.
