Hood College announces Zechman breaks record at Millersville

Tay Zechman (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) set the Hood College record in the hammer throw to lead the women's track and field team at the Millersville Metrics. 

Record Keeping

• Zechman, who finished 12th in the event, just slipped past Samantha Bailey's old Blazer record. Zechman's throw of 41.07 meters (134-9) was just 0.07 (three inches) better than Bailey's mark.

Highlights

• Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) placed fifth in the 10,000-meter run in 41:26.74. The time was only 2.51 seconds behind Hood's school record.

• The meet was not scored.
