Hood College announces Women's track and field competes on day two of MAC Championships

The Hood College women's track and field team continued its action at the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships at York College of Pennsylvania.
In the Field
- Gloria Castillo (Puerto Cortes, Honduras/Meade (Md.)) posted a personal best of 4.56 meters (14-11 1/2) in the long jump and was 25th.
On the Track
- The Blazers' 4x100-meter relay of Iiyana Taylor-Sparks (Indian Head, Md./Lackey), Castillo, Chloe McQuillen (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and Shayna Hancock (Indian Head, Md./North Point) was 11th in 52.98.
- Castillo sprinted a 13.68 in the 100-meter dash to place 22nd in the preliminaries.
- Ros Taylor (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) and Hancock raced in the 400-meter hurdles. Taylor was 14th in 1:14.19, less than half a second faster than Hancock's 1:14.60, which was 16th.
Team Scores
- •Stevens is seven points in front of Misericordia with 66 points for the lead after two days.
- Hood is tied for 13th.
