Hood College announces Noy sets 3,000-meter record

Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) set Hood College's 3,000-meter record to lead the women's track and field team at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Division I Bucknell University.
Record Setter
- Noy turned in a time of 11:13.66 to break Danielle Sgro's 15-year-old school record. Competing against almost exclusively Division I competition, Noy finished 46th.
On the Track
- Iiyana Taylor-Sparks (Indian Head, Md./Lackey), Gloria Castillo (Puerto Cortes, Honduras/Meade (Md.)), Chloe McQuillen (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and Shayna Hancock (Indian Head, Md./North Point) combined to place 28th in the 100-meter dash in 53.09.
Notes
- The meet was unscored.
- The 3,000-meter is not part of the Middle Atlantic Conference or NCAA Championship program.
