Hood College announces 4x200 relay team breaks school record at the AARTFC Championships

Hood College's 4x200 relay team broke the school record at the AARTFC championship meet at the NYC Armory.

 

Record Breaker

  • The 4x200-meter relay team of Jamel Mins (Columbia, Md./Atholton), Evan Ellington (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti), Rell Asamoah (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and Tofunmi Okuseinde (Baltimore, Md./Parkville) ran a time of 1:31.55, placing in the event. The time cut just over two seconds from the record of 1:33.60 that was set a couple of weeks back.  

Notes 

  • The Blazers finished tied for 42nd place overall. 
  • SUNY Geneseo won the AARTFC Championships with a total score of 72.

  • The Blazers are back in action on Friday, Mar. 24 to kick off the outdoor season at the Blue & Gold Classic at Goucher College.
