Holy Family University Women’s Track & Field Sets Three NCAA Provisionals, Four School Records at Widener Invitational

Kenisha Greenwood (Jamaica) and Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent) broke their own school records with NCAA provisionals, while making up half of the 4x400m relay team that also set a school record with an NCAA provisional at the Widener Invitational over the weekend. 

Greenwood now ranks second in all of Division II in the 400m hurdles after clocking in at 59.53 to top a field of 26, while those finishing ahead of Le Matire in the top five in the 800m included three Division I runners as she further distanced herself atop the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with a time of 2:11.70 in the field of 98. 

Those two then combined with Nyoki Jones (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder) and Ariel Salkey (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis) to break a near 11-year-old school record, 3:49.03, to beat out 15 other foursomes. 

Mikayla Hall (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) broke a five-year-old record in the long jump, placing fourth out of 40 after marking at a CACC Championship standard (CACC standard) 5.27m. 


  • Teresa Faust (Pennsauken, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep), who joined Le Maitre in the top-half of the 800m field after running a CACC standard and outdoor collegiate personal record (PR) 2:28.30, missed out on Le Maitre's school record in the 1500m by .01 seconds after crossing in another CACC standard of 4:57.15 to place 13th out of 49
  • Julia Lloyd (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink) (46:00.27) and Ashley Fisgaer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (collegiate PR) 49:33.68) ran CACC standards in the 10000m, with Lloyd winning bronze in the field of nine
  • Korryn Braxton-Young (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) (11.81m) and Samaria Ward (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) (10.67m) both marked at CACC standards in the shot put to place in the top 16 out of 50, with Braxon-Young finishing fourth
    • Braxton-Young also marked at a CACC standard and collegiate PR, 31.67, to place in the top-half of the discus field of 30
  • Turner placed sixth after marking at a CACC standard of an outdoor collegiate PR in 5.04m in long jump, with Hager Khowessa (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations) (4.49m) joining her in the top-half of the field
  • All seven Tigers to run the 100m – Salkey (12.52), Greenwood (collegiate PR 12.75), Hall (collegiate PR 12.90), Turner (collegiate PR 12.91), Kimoya Henry-Ellis (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) (13.08), Jade Jones (Jamaica) (collegiate PR 13.17) and Genelle Heyward (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis) (collegiate PR 13.18) – crossed in the top 24 out of 57 with CACC standards, highlighted by Salkey and Greenwood placing in the top 10
    • Jones (collegiate PR 26.32) and Heyward (outdoor collegiate PR 26.61) also set CACC standards in the 200m, where they were joined in the top 28 out of 78 by Naomi Long (Queens, N.Y./World Journalism Prep.) (collegiate PR 27.21)
  • Long (1:04.84)ran an outdoor collegiate PR in the 400m as well 
  • N. Jones (58.36) and Kahdia Jones (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic) (59.02) crossed in to top nine out of 54 with CACC standards in the 400m
  • Emma McNamee (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) ran CACC standards in the 1500m (5:23.74) and 5000m (20:41.20)
  • Turner (1.46m) posted a top 10 finish in the high jump
