Holy Family University announces Women’s Track & Field Posts Four School Records, Three Wins and One NCAA Provisional at Danny Curran Invitational

Kenisha Greenwood (Jamaica/) set an NCAA provisional, breaking her own school record to win the 400m hurdles as the HFU women's track & field team competed at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational over the weekend.
Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent) posted a win after breaking her own school record too, in the 800m, while Shanell Pusey (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Matanzas) (100m hurdles) and Emma McNamee (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) (10000m) also broke school records over the weekend.
Additionally, the 4x400 relay team of Greenwood, Nyoki Jones (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder), Le Maitre and Genelle Heyward (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis) beat out 14 other quartets after combining to finish in 3:58.44.
- Greenwood topped a field of 30 in the 400m hurdles after crossing in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship standard of 1:01.37
- Pusey (1:04.80) joined her on the podium, winning bronze with a collegiate personal record (PR), while N. Jones (1:06.96) and Brianna Coates (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) (1:08.99) also set CACC Championship standards to place in the top 11
- Le Maitre beat out 93 others after crossing in 2:15.25 for a CACC Championship standard
- Teresa Faust (Pennsauken, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) (2:28.46) set a CACC Championship standard in the event too, with a new outdoor collegiate personal record (PR) to finish 30th
- All three Tigers to compete in the 100m hurdles clocked in the top-third of the field of 34 with a CACC Championship standard, highlighted by Pusey breaking the school record after crossing in 15.24 to place fourth
- Greenwood (16.29) and Jones (16.30) joined Pusey in setting a collegiate PRs
- McNamee finished in the top-third of the 10000m field with a CACC Championship standard time of 41:10.59
- Faust (41:31.30) and Amber Fisgaer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (collegiate PR 47:42.20) ran CACC Championship standards as well, with Ashley Fisgaer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (50:25.51) also running a collegiate PR
- All seven Tigers to run in the 100m – Greenwood, Ariel Salkey (Queens, N.Y./Francis Lewis), Kahdia Jones (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic), Kimoya Henry-Ellis (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon), Mikayla Hall (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West), Naomi Long (Queens, N.Y./World Journalism Prep.) and Ghynaia Morgan (Bloomfield, Conn./Capital Preparatory Magnet School (Tennessee-Martin)) – clocked in the top-half of the field of 73, highlighted by Greenwood (collegiate PR 12.83), Salkey (12.96) and Jones (13.02) all posting top-10 finishes with CACC Championship standards
- Hall (13.36) and Long (13.67) both set new collegiate PRs
- Korryn Braxton-Young (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) (11.94m) and Samaria Ward (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) (collegiate PR 11.27m) both marked at CACC Championship standards to place in the top eight out of 53 in the shot put
- Jade Jones (Jamaica) (1:00.00) and Salkey (1:01.14) both clocked CACC Championship standards to post top 10 finishes in the 400m field of 67 with collegiate PRs, with Heyward (1:03.00) also crossing in the top-third of the field
- Sydonia Turner (Philadelphia, PA) (1.51m) cleared a CACC Championship standard and collegiate PR in the high jump
- Heyward (26.92), J. Jones (collegiate PR 27.10), Long (27.94) and Hall (28.54) all clocked in the top-half of the field of 82 in the 200m
- Hall marked sixth out of 16 in the triple jump, 10.18m, while setting an outdoor collegiate PR of 4.55m in the long jump
