Holy Family University announces Women’s Track & Field Leads League in CACC All-Academic Honorees for Second Straight Year; 10 Tigers Recognized

2023 CACC Women's Track & Field All-Academic Team

The HFU women's track & field team led the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in All-Academic honorees for the second straight year as 10 Tigers were recognized for the 2023 season. 

 

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must:

  • have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term
  • have a minimum of two semesters enrolled as a full-time student at their member institution
  • be a second year student-athlete at their member institution


Seniors Korryn Braxton-Young (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech), Kimoya Henry-Ellis (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon), Shania Le Maitre (Champs Fleurs, Trinidad & Tobago/Holy Name Convent) and Samaria Ward (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) earned the accolade for a third time, while junior Amber Fisgaer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) and Ashley Fisgaer (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) were repeat recipients. 

 

Sophomores Kaitlyn Durning (Glenolden, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), Jade Jones (Jamaica), Kahdia Jones (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic) and Emma McNamee (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) received recognition in their first year of eligibility. 

 

Notably, Amber, Ashley and Durning were the only three honorees who had a perfect 4.0 undergraduate GPA.
