Holy Family University announces Men's Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Rainy West Chester Invitational

The Holy Family University men's track & field team weathered rainy conditions in its outdoor opener at the West Chester Invitational on Saturday. 

• JoJo Smith (Kingston, Jamaica/Edwin Allen) and Terrence Jones (East Orange, N.J./William Allen/LCTI) crossed one-two in the 110m hurdles with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship standards of 15.68 and 15.70
• Skyler Salay (Burlington Township, N.J./Burlington Township) topped a field of seven in the high jump, clearing a CACC Championship standard 1.85m
• HFU represented four of the top six in the long jump, with Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) (6.29m), Ernest Robertson (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity) (6.15m) and Nafis Zollicoffer (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway West) (6.10m) all marking at CACC Championship standards
  • Javon Bowen (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College) (5.88m) was sixth, while Akim Cobham (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter) (5.21m) marked at a outdoor collegiate personal record (PR)
• Three Tigers placed in the top six of the 800m, out of 15, highlighted by Brian Dietz (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) setting a CACC Championship standard of 1:59.98
  • Alex Pawlowski (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) crossed in an outdoor collegiate PR 2:02.48, while Tyler Wesley (Hartford, Conn./Bloomfield) finished in 2:05.60
• Anthony Faust (Pennsauken, N.J./Bishop Eustace Preparatory School) won the 5000m, beating out four other competitors with a time of 16:45.15, while Shymir Harris (Philadelphia, Pa./Academy at Palumbo) beat out four others in the javelin with a mark of 36.17m
• Ibrahim Forana (Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) placed fifth out of 17 in the 200m with a time of 23.30
• Dom Prestipino (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville) ran a collegiate PR, 12:20.00, in the 3000m steeplechase
