High Point University announces Horn, Mead Collect Big South Weekly Awards

Two High Point University pole vaulters once again claimed Big South Conference weekly awards for the efforts at the Texas Invitational last weekend. Sydney Horn and Anjali Mead were named the Field Athlete and Freshman of the Week, respectively. 

Sydney Horn, Big South Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Horn finished second at the Texas Invitational and was the highest collegiate finisher, clearing 4.20m at the event. It marks her second outdoor weekly award of the season. 

Anjali Mead, Big South Women's Freshman of the Week

Mead cleared 3.90m at the Texas Invitational, tying teammate Mackenzie Horn for fifth place as the second-highest freshman finisher in the event (Princeton's Tessa Mudd). This is Mead's fourth outdoor weekly award of the season.
