High Point University announces Holloway, Vesper Named Athletes of the Week

Two High Point University track and field athletes have received Big South weekly awards. Rachel Vesper was named the female field athlete of the week for the first time this season. On the men's side Reid Holloway also received his first award being named the freshman of the week.

Rachel Vesper -- Big South Female Field Athlete of the Week

Vesper finished fourth in the elite section of pole vault at the Darius Dixon Memorial Meet. Vesper posted a career-best mark of 4.26m, as she now joins the top-16 in national rankings.

Reid Hollway-- Big South Male Freshman of the Week

Holloway earned freshman of the week after posting a season-best of 4.80m mark in the open section of pole vault at the Darius Dixon Memorial Meet this past weekend.
