High Point University announces Dawson Ends Season at NCAA First Round Championships

High Point University jumper Alicia Dawson wrapper up her senior season at the NCAA First Round Championships on Saturday evening. Dawson finished her career as a two-time qualifier in the triple jump and a two-time qualifier in the long jump.

After starting Saturday's triple jump competition with a foul on her first run through, Dawson recorded a mark of 12.58m on her second run. She improved her mark to a season best at 12.87m (+2.6) on her third and final attempt to sit at sixth with two flights of competitors remaining. Entering the competition 36th, she finished 22nd overall on Saturday.
