Henderson State Reddies announces Moore Named to the All-Central Region Second Team

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State's third baseman Abbie Moore was named to the All-Central Region Second Team on Tuesday. Moore also received two GAC Player of the Week Awards and was named First Team All-GAC this season.

Moore had her best season in the red-and-grey with a season-high 14 doubles, 12 home runs and 36 runs batted in. The senior finished the season 12th in the GAC in batting average, hitting .350 on 49 hits. In addition, the North Richland Hills, Texas native led the league in slugging percentage (.707) and hit the second most home runs in the conference.
 

The third baseman not only had the second most hits for HSU but also led the team with 20 walks and was hit by a pitch five times. On defense, Moore assisted 100 putouts across the season and committed just five errors to end the year with a .964 fielding percentage.

Moore moved into the top three in career home runs with 32 and is also fifth in program history in runs batted with 121 across five seasons. The North Richland Hills, Texas native jumped into the top ten in doubles with 34 career doubles, which is the sixth most.
