Henderson State Reddies announces Moore Named GAC Player of the Week

RUSSELVILLE, Ark. – Abbie Moore is named GAC Player of the Week after helping Henderson State to a series victory over Arkansas-Monticello. This is the second time this season that the senior third baseman has received this honor.   

The North Richland Hills, Texas native went 4-7 at the plate across the three games with two home runs, six runs batted in and three runs scored. In game one, Moore hit a solo shot to tie the game before hitting a three-run blast in the top of the seventh to give HSU the lead.

After a big game one, the third baseman was walked six times in the final two contests, including four free passes in the rubber match. In game three, Moore was 1-1 at the plate, walking and batting in a run in Henderson's 15-2 victory.  

This season, the senior is batting a team-high .362 on 38 hits and leads the team in home runs (10) and RBIs (28). Moore and the Reddies will face Ouachita Baptist in a midweek contest at Sully Anderson Field on Tuesday, Apr. 11 at 4 p.m.
