From May 19, 2023 post.
The Heidelberg University track & field team landed two student-athletes on the all-region honor roll, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. Jake McEntyre was All-Region in the 100m dash and Liv Bean earned the honor in the long jump.
The USTFCCCA bestows All-Region honors to the top five individuals in each event from each region.
In his freshman campaign, McEntyre made an impressive impact on the team. He clocked a season-best 10.72 at the OAC Championships, setting a program record in the process. He bested Julius Higganbotham's time of 10.83, set in 2010.
Bean did a little bit of everything for 'Berg track this season, but it was her final attempt at the OAC Championships that landed her on the All-Region list.
She leapt 18-2.25 feet and earned All-OAC honors.
