The Glenville State men's golf program will host the 6th Annual Tim Carney Tribute on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023.  This event was designed to assist current and future golfers with funding to help offset the cost of attendance at Glenville State.  The outing will once again be staged at the Glenville Golf Club.
The entry fee to participate is 80 dollars per individual (320 dollars per team).  There will be a lunch and gift provided to those in attendance.   The tournament will get underway at 9 am that Friday morning.  It will also operate in conjunction with all the Homecoming activities including the Saturday, (Oct. 14) football contest with Wheeling University.
The tournament format will be Captain's Choice (scramble).  Teams can enter together as a group.  We will also accept individuals that are unable to put together a team. Those entrants will form into teams.  For those who are unable to attend/play but would like to contribute, opportunities for hole sponsorship are welcomed (100 dollars).
The 2022-23 Glenville State men's golf team once again finished one position out of qualifying for the NCAA East Atlantic Regional.  However, there was progress obtained throughout the course of the season.  The men's team tied for medalist honors with Indiana PA at the UC Fall Invitational played at Edgewood CC in September while finishing second in several events including the MEC championship (Avalon Lakes Resort)  and the Wally Edgell Invitational (Canaan Valley Resort).    Juan Monckeberg qualified as an individual for the NCAA Regional at Iron Valley CC (Lebanon, PA).  He posted the low round of the entire event on day three with a (-4) 68.
If there are questions relating to the outing, please feel free to call the number (304) 462-6052.
