Dickinson won their Week 2 matchup against Ridge Point High school, 14-0. This was the team's first defensive shutout of the season.

The key defensive players who brought this decisive win were Layden Roque, Diego Sanchez, Jabari Ellison and Jamarcus Anderson. Offensively key players were Marquis Johnson and John Solomon, according to Dickinson head football coach John Snelson said.

Dickinson beat their Week 3 opponent, Dobie High, by a score of 48-27 last season. Snelson gives credit to home-field advantage for their big wins.

“Home-field advantage is very big for us,” he said. “We have great fans, and our kids seem to give a little bit extra when they play in front of their community.”
