College of the Holy Cross announces Men's Track and Field Wraps Up Competition at Stonehill

The Holy Cross men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Skyhawk Invitational on Saturday.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS:
- Sophomore Michael Cahill finished third in the 3k with a time of 9:37.41.
- In the 110m hurdles, sophomore Josh Exantus placed third (15.55) and sophomore Brian Fennelly earned fourth (15.80).
- Sophomore Aidan Bergin claimed fifth in the 100m dash (11.33), followed by freshman Nyeoti Punni in sixth (11.34).
- Junior Rigoberto Alfonso set a personal best in the 400m run with a time of 51.73. He was followed by sophomore Stephen Joseph in seventh (52.02) and freshman Quinlan Perry in eighth (52.17).
- Senior Cameron Lloyd finished second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.03.
- Punni claimed third in the 200m dash with a time of 22.51.
- Junior Drew Madsen won the 5k with a personal best time of 16:03.01.
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS:
- Freshman Joe Metzger earned third in the shot put with a mark of 15.26m.
- Junior Will McAlpine placed third in the javelin with a mark of 53.15m. Freshman Jack Ryan earned fourth with a throw of 50.58m.
NEXT UP:
- The Holy Cross men's track and field team returns to action of May 5 and 6. The team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Patriot League Championship.
