College of the Holy Cross announces Igwenagu Named First-team All-patriot League

Senior Obiamaka Igwenagu has been named Women's Indoor Track & Field First-Team All-Patriot League, as announced by the conference office.
 
Igwenagu claimed a gold medal in the triple jump at the Patriot League Championship on Saturday. She cleared a jump of 12.59m on her first attempt of the day. The mark was enough to break her own program record and set a new Patriot League meet record. The previous conference meet record was set by Army's Bonvie Fosam in 2021 at 12.39m.

Igwenagu has been a remained a consistent jumper for the Crusaders during her time on the Hill. This season alone, she has broken the indoor and outdoor triple jump record multiple times.
 
Earlier this season, she earned a bronze medal at the Patriot League Indoor Championship with a triple jump mark of 12.24m.
 
Igwenagu, along with other qualified Crusaders, will compete at the New England Championship in Dedham, Mass. on May 12 and 13.
