CCNY Men's Basketball Downs Baruch on the Road, 70-62

The City College of New York men's basketball program earned a signature win on Friday night, defeating Baruch College on the road 70-62. The Beavers earned their third consecutive victory, improving to 8-6 overall and a perfect 3-0 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.

The Beavers snapped Baruch's seven-game winning streak and earned their first victory over the Bearcats since 2017.

Junior Yassine Sakhi netted a game-high 19 points, along with four rebounds and two assists. Senior Daniel Piszczatowski finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Freshman Michael Bowman poured in 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while classmate Ricardo Dixon tallied 12 points and three rebounds.

Junior Amir Assani pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds, six rebounds, and two points. Senior Dashaun Galloway had five points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Sophomore Luqman Ahmed added five points off the bench.

Next, the Beavers will return to the Nat Holman Gymnasium on Wednesday, Jan. 11, hosting Medgar Evers College at 7:00 p.m.
