Candidates for 5th Senate and 82nd Assembly districts share views on business issues

The race for the 5th Senate District and 82nd Assembly District in Wisconsin is underway, with both seats open and set to have new representation, according to a Sep. 25 announcement from the Waukesha County Business Alliance.

As part of its effort to keep members informed about issues affecting the business community, the Alliance invited all candidates running for these legislative seats to provide their perspectives on key business and economic topics. Candidates were asked questions regarding Wisconsin’s business competitiveness, state budgeting, taxes, and other matters impacting businesses and local communities.

The organization stated that it is sharing the candidates’ responses so members can better understand where each candidate stands on issues important to businesses and what their priorities would be if elected. The Alliance clarified that it does not endorse any candidates; responses are presented as submitted without editing by the organization.

The Waukesha County Business Alliance works to strengthen the local economy and enhance community prosperity through advocacy, development, engagement, and expansion initiatives. The group includes more than 1,200 member companies employing over 120,000 people in the region. It serves diverse industries as a primary advocate for businesses in Waukesha County and focuses its efforts locally to promote economic growth.
