Buffalo State University announces Bulls Battle Three Mac Rivals this Weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (0-2, 0-1 MAC) will travel to Toledo, Ohio to take on MAC rivals Toledo (3-2, 1-1 MAC) and Ohio (4-2, 2-0 MAC) in a tri-meet on Friday evening. On Saturday afternoon, the Bulls will travel to Saline, Michigan to battle MAC rival Eastern Michigan (2-6, 1-1 MAC).

SERIES HISTORY AT A GLANCE

  • UB trails the all-time series against Toledo (6-13), Ohio (5-12), and Eastern Michigan (2-18).
  • The Bulls defeated the Rockets (198-102) and the Bobcats (190-110) in the 2021-22 season and fell to the Eagles (141-159) in the 2018-19 season.
  • Head Coach Andy Bashor is 5-6 against Toledo, 5-5 against Ohio, and 2-8 against Eastern Michigan during his tenure at Buffalo.

LAST TIME OUT

UB fell to Duquesne on Friday, Jan. 13 by a score of 114-110. The Bulls opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay. Mia Naccarella finished first in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and Toni Naccarella took first in the 100 freestyle in 50.79-seconds. Amanda Neeb finished first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.86-seconds, and Katie Pollock won the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.69.

At the UB Diving Invite from Jan. 13-15, Victoria Franz won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, setting a school record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 356.40.
