Bucknell University announces Bucknell Women's Swimming and Diving Drops Dual Meet to Army on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell University women's swim and dive team dropped a dual meet to the visiting United States Military Academy on Saturday afternoon at Kinney Natatorium in its first action of 2023. 

Results

Bucknell (5-2) was set back 202.5-97.5 to the Black Knights.  Sabrina Vumbacco was the lone Bison to register event victories on Saturday, picking up wins in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.37) and the 1000-yard freestyle (10:23.30). 

Vumbacco was also a member of the runner-up 200-yard medley team along with Esme Hunter Alexandra Ritorto, and Sophia Donati (1:45.61).  Hunter also picked up a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (57.04) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.75).  Bucknell's final runner-up finisher was Kayla Lichtner in the 100-yard freestyle (52.59).

500-yard freestyle – Sabrina Vumbacco (4:59.37)

Runners-Up

200-yard medley – Esme Hunter, Alexandra Ritorto, Sabrina Vumbacco, Sophia Donati (1:45.61)

100-yard backstroke – Esme Hunter (57.04)

100-yard freestyle – Kayla Lichtner – (52.59)
