Benedictine University announces Redhawks Set for Cal Pac Tournament

MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa baseball team has secured a spot in the Cal Pac tournament once again. The Redhawks enter at the No. 1 seed after finishing the Cal Pac with a 21-3 record and taking the Regular Season Title.
 
The Redhawks will face the winner of game one between the Embry-Riddle Eagles and the Simpson Red Hawks at 4 p.m. on May 3rd. BenU has swept both series against the Eagles and the Red Hawks.
 
Against the Red Hawks, BenU put up 41 hits in the series that produced 26 RBI and 33 runs. BenU only allowed 29 hits to the Red Hawks while keeping them to a .284 batting average. Against the Eagles, the Redhawks pitching staff threw a total of 27 strikeouts in the series. The offense produced 35 hits and 26 runs with 25 of those being RBI's.
