Benedictine University announces Redhawks Advance to Championship Series

MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa baseball team defeated Westcliff University and Simpson University to advance to the Cal Pac Championship series. The Redhawks run ruled both of their opponents scoring a total of 29 runs while holding their opponents to just three runs on the day.
 
Mikito Barkman threw a complete seven innings allowing eight hits and only two runs against Westcliff. Dylan Bangs went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and one run batted in to lead the offense. Jack Fitzgerald finished going 2-for-4 with five RBI and a homerun over the left center fence.
 
The Redhawks put up 24 hits and produced 17 runs against Simpson. Travis Reaves went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Dylan Bangs stayed hot and finished another game at the plate going .1000 going 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.

The Redhawks will face Antelope Valley in the Championship Series on Friday afternoon with the first game starting at 2 p.m.
