Benedictine University announces Benedictine, Visit Mesa, And the NAIA Host Teaming of For Character Event at Las Sendas

MESA, Ariz. – For the second time, Benedictine University Mesa has hosted the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz. The Tournament takes place from May 16-19 with events starting on Sunday, May 14.
 
The first event was held Sunday, May 14, with the NAIA athletes hosting and assisting athletes from Arizona Disabled Sports. The organization is responsible for collaborating with the Special Olympics Arizona and is charged with providing year-round sports training and competitions for the entire state. The student-athletes along with Visit Mesa organized a clinic to help the adaptive golfers improve their game. The clinic consisted of time on the driving range with a small putting competition where the golfers could show off their skills.
