Allen, Washington named Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men's and women's basketball Players of the Week.

Kelvin Allen (Lane) was named Player of the Week, alongside teammate, Radarious Washington (Lane) who earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kelvin Allen, Lane

Guard  |  Senior  |  Olive Branch, Miss.

Kelvin Allen averaged 16.3 points per game in three Lane victories this week over SIAC opponents including a 20-point game on the road against Kentucky State. The senior guard also pulled in 11 rebounds and picked up eight steals.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Radarious Washington, Lane

Forward  |  Senior  |  Memphis, Tenn.Washington scored in double figures in all three games this week for Lane, leading the Dragons to a 3-0 record over SIAC West opponents. The senior forward who is playing in his first semester with Lane, scored averaged 14.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds. The Memphis native added nine assists, six steals and five blocks on the week.
