Alderson Broaddus University announces 4 School Records Broken at Bethany College Invite

Bethany, W.Va- The Alderson Broaddus University Track & Field Teams traveled to Bethany College this weekend and had a good showing, breaking four school records, along with a multitude of top-8 finishes.
Top Finishes:
1500- Layla James 2nd (5:07.67)
400- Desiree Knotts 9th (64.23 personal best), Nathan Jacobs 4th (50.21), Jonathan Nagalo (52.19 personal best)
100- Shelton Bass 2nd (10.64 school record), Devon Napier 3rd (10.67 personal best)
800- Trinity Bumbry 3rd (2:32.02), Andrew Nephew 4th (2:06.75 personal best), Jacobs (2:07.07)
200- Bellela Colas 9th (28.01 personal best), Bass 2nd (22.01 school record), Napier 4th (22.20)
Discus- Micah Harrison 1st (47.01m school record)
Shot put- Cedric Carter 9th (13.85m)
Pole Vault- Greysen Gerth 4th (3.70m)
High Jump- Kaylie Laskody 6th (1.47m), Cameron Tropeck 6th (1.80m tied personal best)
Hammer Throw- Harrison 1st (45.60m school record), Jacob Sharp 5th (38.05m)
"Great weekend for us overall. We are just finishing our true training block of the season and now working toward a new block and looking forward at the conference meet at the end of next month. I am truly excited with what we have been able to do the past couple of weeks, and know this is ONLY the beginning " said Head Coach Paris Vaughan.
The Battlers are back on the road next weekend at Slippery Rock University for the Dave Labor Invitational. The meet kicks off Friday with the Hammer Throw starting at 2pm. On Saturday, events start at 9am.
