Albright College announces Women’s Golf Opens Concludes Season at 2023 MAC Championships
FLEETWOOD, PA. The Albright women's golf team concluded their 2022-2023 on Sunday afternoon after round two of the MAC women's golf championships was suspended after four holes and ultimately canceled due to unfavorable course conditions from heavy rainfall.
FINAL RESULTS
Since round two was not able to be completed, the awards were given based on round one performances.
During today's round the Albright women's golf team was on top through the first four holes of the second round. The Lions were off to a roaring start in round two but were forced off the course as the course became unplayable.
Head women's golf coach Eric Lamm could not have been more proud of his team. "I am very proud of the play and the effort my Lions displayed again today and throughout our entire fall and spring seasons. I can not wait to get back on the course and help them to grow and develop next season."
Coach Lamm would also like to recognize senior women's golfer, Maddison Wagner. Wagner played in her final round for the Albright women's golf program yesterday. Coach Lamm, "Maddison is a fantastic golfer and always displayed sportsmanship every time she teed it up for our team and Albright College!"

DAY 1 RECAP:
Maddison Wagner put together a solid round of 92 (+20) on day one of the Championships. Wagner's round of 92 is good for 18th placing her inside the top 20 after the opening round. Wagner will enter day two just three strokes outside of the top 15.
Callie Cooper came in at 94 (+22) after round one just two strokes off teammate Wagner. Wagner finishes round one in a tie for 23rd out of 46 total competitors.
Braidan Wastler closed out the strong day for Albright with a 97 (+25). Wastler finds herself in a tie for tie for 26th just four strokes outside the top 20.
