Albright College announces Men’s Golf Opens Lions Cup With Two Four Ball Match Wins

READING, PA. - The Albright men's golf team opened the 2023 Lions Cup winning two out of the three four-ball matches played yesterday against Penn State Berks. Evan Twyman & Nick Smerek and Sam Elsen & Kyle Vonderlinden won their matches today played at the Heidelberg Country Club.

Match 1

PSU Berks - Derek Jopp & Rob Pasquarella  1Up over Albright's Ben Egin & Colby Caylor

Match 2

Albright College- Evan Twyman & Nick Smerek 2 Up over PSU Berks's Drew Morris & Josh Gardner

Match 3

Albright College- Sam Elsen & Kyle Vonderlinden 3 & 2 over PSU Berks's Kolin Grogesky & Reese Renninger

Day two of the Lion Cup will get underway this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Fox Chase Golf Club. The format for today is singles matches between Albright and PSU Berks.
