Albany State University announces Golden Rams Swept the Golden Bears in Key SIAC Series

The Albany State University Golden Rams baseball team swept their 3-game weekend series against the Miles College Golden Bears in Fairfield, Alabama. The Golden Rams improved to (26-8) overall and (24-2) in the SIAC. The Golden Bears fell to (17-21) overall and (14-12) in the conference.
In game #1, the Golden Rams defeated the Golden Bears (12-3). The Golden Rams exploded for 7 runs in the top of the 8th inning to propel them to a win over the Golden Bears.
The Golden Rams finished with 13 hits in the game. Nathan Lloyd and Tucker Jordan both hit a double in the game for the Golden Rams.
Austin Roberts led the Golden Rams with 3 hits. Austin also had 3 RBIs for the Golden Rams. Zane Ross, Nathan Lloyd, Tucker Jordan and Luke Addison also contributed with 2 hits each. Zane Ross finished with a team lead of 4 RBIs.
Jeremiah Reddell improved to (9-0) on the season for the Golden Rams. Reddell pitched 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs and 9 hits.
In game #2, the Golden Rams won (11-5). The Golden Rams scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning to take control of the game against the Miles College Golden Bears.
Luke Addison hit a solo home run in the 5th inning. Austin Roberts hit a double in the 9th inning to score 2 runs.
John Luegering was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams. Luegering pitched 2 innings for the Golden Rams.
The Golden Rams won game #3 by the score of (17-0).
Zane Ross hit a triple for the Golden Rams. Jonathan Logsdon and Luke Addison finished with a double for the Golden Rams.
Zane Ross and Jonathan Logsdon both finished with 3 RBIs. Austin Roberts and Pierce Thomas both had 2 RBIs. Nathan Lloyd, Tucker Jordan and Luke Addison all had a RBI for the Golden Rams.
Landon Kiefer pitched 7 innings and struck out 14 batters and only allowed 2 hits for the Golden Rams.
The Golden Rams will host the Georgia Southwestern University Hurricanes at 5:00 pm at the ASU West Baseball Complex on Tuesday, April 18.
