Albany State University announces Golden Rams Fall to Night Hawks in Extra Innings

The Golden Rams lost (7-6) to the Thomas University Night Hawks in extra innings on Wednesday evening in Thomasville, Georgia.  With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (21-6) overall.  The Night Hawks improved to (15-22) overall.

In the top of the 1st inning, Nathan Lloyd hit a single to score Lavoisier Fisher.

In the 2nd inning, Quintard Wright hit a home run to give the Golden Rams a (2-0) lead.  Cameron Paul scored on a Landon Kiefer single to extend the Golden Rams lead to (3-0).

In the 6th inning, the Golden Rams tied the score (4-4) when Landon Kiefer hit a single to score Cameron Paul.  The Golden Rams took a (5-4) lead after Austin Roberts was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

In the 10th inning, Nathan Lloyd hit a sacrifice fly to score Lavoisier Fisher to give the Golden Rams a (6-5) lead.

Delay, Jr. hit a home run to tie the score (6-6) in the bottom of the 10th inning.

The Night Hawks won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning when Pickert hit a single to score Fleenor for the (7-6) win.

The Golden Rams finished with 11 hits in the game. Landon Kiefer went 3/4 from the plate.  Wade Rodeffer and Nathan Lloyd hit a double for the Golden Rams.

Luke Addison fell to (1-1) on the season.  Addison pitched 2.1 innings for the Golden Rams and allowed 2 earned runs and 5 hits.

The Golden Rams and Night Hawks split the season series.  The Golden Rams defeated the Night Hawks (10-6) on February 22, 2023.
