Albany State University announces Albany State Sweep Clark-Atlanta in Weekend Series

The Albany State Golden Rams baseball team swept the Clark-Atlanta University Panthers on this weekend in Albany, Georgia. The Golden Rams improved to (21-5) overall and (19-1) in the SIAC. The Golden Rams are now on a 5-game winning streak. The Panthers are now (9-21) overall and (5-14) in the SIAC.
In game 1, the Golden Rams scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to defeat the Panthers (10-0) in 7 innings.
Lavoisier Fisher finished with 3 RBIs for the Golden Rams. Fisher also had 2 hits. Nathan Lloyd and Hill Corley both finished with 2 RBIs. Chase Karn and Austin Roberts also drove in an RBI for the Golden Rams.
Zane Ross and Tucker Jordan drew 3 walks each in the game.
Landon Kiefer improved to (6-1) on the season. Kiefer pitched 7 innings and struck out 12 batters. Kiefer only allowed 2 hits.
In game 2, the Golden Rams defeated the Panthers (3-2). The Golden Rams finished with 3 runs and 10 hits against the Panthers.
The Golden Rams tied the score (1-1) in the bottom of the 2nd when Dominic Rutigliano singled to center field to score Austin Roberts.
In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Golden Rams took the lead (2-1) when Luke Addison scored on a Bradley Smith single. The Golden Rams increased their lead to (3-1) when Hill Corley hit a sacrifice fly to score Jonathan Logsdon.
Brady Davis improved to (4-1) for the Golden Rams. Luke Addison was awarded the save.
In game 3, the Golden Rams celebrated Alumni Day by defeating the Panthers (17-0) with a plethora of alumni baseball players in attendance.
The Golden Rams exploded for 6 runs in the 2nd inning and 8 runs in the 3rd inning to build their lead against the Panthers.
Lavoisier Fisher finished with 3 RBIs while Jonathan Logsdon, Tucker Jordan, Luke Addison and Landon Kiefer contributed with 2 RBIs each.
Nathan Lloyd, Hill Corley, Tucker Jordan, Austin Roberts and Pierce Thomas all scored 2 runs for the Golden Rams.
Jonathan Logsdon, Tucker Jordan, Luke Addison and Austin Roberts were credited with a stolen base.
Jeremiah Reddell improved to an impressive (7-0) on the season as he pitched a perfect 5 innings against the Panthers.
Calvin Baker and William Beasely also pitched an inning each for the Golden Rams.
