Alabama State University announces @BamaStateSB Drops Midweek Game to Jacksonville State
The Alabama State Lady Hornets softball team fell to Jacksonville State University 13-1 on Wednesday at the Barbara Wiliams Softball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emma Jones singled and scored on when Linley tubbs reached on a fielders choice.
- Jones doubled home two runs in the second to make JSU's lead 3-0.
- Jacksonville State added four runs in the third and six runs in the fourth for a 13-0 lead.
- The Hornets got on the board on a Kindall DeRamus double down the left field line to cut the deficit to 13-1.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Ashley Pye (2-4) was the pitcher of record for the Lady Hornets. Pey allowed 13 runs, only five earned, on with a strikeout.
- Jailyah Homes (7-3) earned the win, scattering three his over 4.0 innings with 10 strikeouts.
INSIDE THE BOX
- DeRamus finished with two hits and an RBI to lead Alabama State.
- Jaeda Gardner, Alana Scott and Jasmine Rogers had hits for ASU.
